Joiku Ski & Lake Chalets is a superb group of luxury chalets that rises on the shores of lake Äkäslompolo, soon to be completed with the second part of the project. Eight new chalets are on their way, in addition to the nine earlier ones, at the very best location in Ylläs. The villas of Joiku 2 are found in four different sizes, all of them on two floors. The idea of the ground plan is the same in every villa but is scaled by the square metres. The biggest villa is a detached house, and the rest of them are semi-detached. The corporate structure of the villas enables carefree living with cost-effective maintenance in all four seasons. All the villas include an own carport and a warm storage where it is easy to keep f. ex. your skiing equipment.
Besides in the villas we have invested in communality and com-mon goods. In the wood heated lakeside sauna, situated on the shore of your own lot, you can enjoy the beautiful fell and lake views. From the pier you can take a dip into the refreshing wa-ter both in the summer and in the winter. To your satisfaction mountain bikes and SUP-boards will be acquired for common use. Therefore it´s easy to conquer the fells throughout the year or paddle in order to relax and to achieve a peace of mind. Joiku will be built on the lake side at the foot of the fells in Ylläs. The location is unique. Though you are surrounded by the fasci-nating and breath-taking nature in Lapland, all facilities such as the iconic Jounin Kauppa (a shop), the gym, several restaurants and all the facilities in Äkäslompolo centrum, are still near. Those who are into winter sports will be thrilled by the location of the Ylläs ski centre nearby as well as the access to the skiing tracks that you can find just next to the Joiku villas.
It tells a lot about the magnificent location of the villas that you can find the landmark Ylläs Swing in the neighbourhood. Behind the Ylläs Swing opens up a breath-taking lake view used as a background in countless photos. You can admire the same view through the windows in the living room of Joiku villas.
Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park pampers a hiker and a moun-tain biker with several trails and paths. You can find the nearest trails on the eastern side of the lake Äkäslompolo.
